Electron Microscopy Sciences SuperFrost™ End Slide 1 mm thick
Our slides are made from the highest quality clear-white glass sheets and have dimensions that have been standardized to millimeters according to the U.S. government specifications. The glass is fully annealed to minimize chipping. Slides are precleaned and are individually inspected and free from moisture, dirt, and film. All of our slides are flat, uniform and durable. The Superfrosted end slides have one side which is frosted with a brilliant white opaque coating that will take and retain all pen markings. They offer superior readability and are permanent.
Electron Microscopy Sciences SuperFrost™ PLUS Adhesion Slide, Blue
Superfrost Plus glass slides feature:
They place a permanent positive charge in the microscope slide.
They electrostatically attract frozen tissue sections and cytology preparations, binding them to the slide.
They form a bridge so that covalent bonds develop between formalin fixed sections and the glass.
Tissue sections and cytological preparations adhere better to the Plus glass slides without the need for special adhesives or protein coatings.
Plus glass puts an end to background staining and eliminates blue or red background staining which is often encountered in hematoxylin and eosin staining and brown background staining in immuno-peroxidase or in situ DNA proceduress.
Plus allow for a higher degree of enzyme digestion without the loss of tissue sections and cytological preparations placed on Plus glass resist cell loss. Plus glass improves tissue adherence in microwave staining.

ASI™ Supreme Frosted Glass Microscope Slides are 75 X 25mm and 1.0mm thick. Their key feature is the frosted end on one side, which makes it easier to label them with pencils or pens than on other microscope glasses, as it is sand-blasted glass and not etched. These microscope slides are positively charged, to help in holding thin or powdery samples and make them adhere to the slide. This makes the mounting process easier and makes the viewing more successful.
