IG™ C43(DE3)pLysS Electrocompetent Cells are designed for high-efficiency transformation and stable expression of toxic or difficult proteins in IPTG-inducible T7 systems. This BL21(DE3) derived strain includes mutations improving tolerance to toxic proteins. It carries a chloramphenicol-resistant pLysS plasmid encoding T7 lysozyme, suppressing basal T7 RNA polymerase expression to stabilize recombinants. Effectiveness is validated in over 400 publications.
