Tth DNA Polymerase is a recombinant, thermostable enzyme with intrinsic reverse transcription (RT) activity. It can be used in both RT-PCR and regular PCR and can reverse transcript and amplify fragments up to 2-3 kb. Tth DNA Polymerase was isolated from eubacterium Thermus thermophilus strain HB8 and is expressed in E.coli. It has a highly processive 5-3 polymerase activity, but no 3-5 exonuclease activity. It also does not have RNase activity.
