AMPIGENE qPCR 1-Step Green Kits use the latest developments in reverse transcriptase (RTase) technology and buffer chemistry for efficient cDNA synthesis and qPCR in a single tube. The modified MMLV RTase is blended with RNase inhibitor to prevent degradation of RNA by contaminating RNase. The RTase is thermostable and extremely active. AMPIGENE qPCR 1-Step Green Kits use a proprietary intercalating dye that does not inhibit PCR. An optimized buffer system allows efficient amplification and proprietary enhancers prevent the formation of primers/dimers to increase sensitivity and specificity. ROX is a reference dye which is used to normalize fluorescent signal in qPCR. AMPIGENE qPCR 1-Step Green Kits come with either Lo-ROX or Hi-ROX concentration. For Lo-ROX, see ENZ-NUC108. SD Polymerase is a novel, artificial polymerase with a strong strand displacement activity and heat stability up to 93°C. With SD Polymerase, the possibilities of isothermal amplification and regular PCR can be combined. The initial heating-up improves the specificity in applications such as LAMP, library generation, PCDR, WGA, standard PCR, and genome sequencing. The special properties of SD Polymerase provide greater yields, speed and efficiency than Taq Polymerase. SD Polymerase is suitable for high GC-content and difficult targets. Long Range PCR can be performed with target sizes up to 30 kb. SD Polymerase has 5’-3’ polymerase and 5’-3’ strand displacement activities, as well as 3’-A-overhangs. It does not have any exonuclease activity.

PuroSPIN™ Total RNA Purification Kitis designed to purify total RNA from bacteria, mammalian cells, yeast, or animal tissue. It greatly simplifies the extraction process by incorporating a convenient easy-to-use extraction technology based on nucleic acid binding silica spin-columns. The RNA is first released form the cells by the treatment with the Lysis Buffer LB-R. For RNA extraction from bacterial cell the lysis step is preceded by the treatment with the Lysozyme enzyme to disrupt bacterial cell wall. RNA is then loaded onto silica-based spin columns and washed to remove protein, salt and other contaminants. The kit includes on-column DNase I digestion step to remove any contaminating DNA. Finally, purified RNA is eluted from the column into a clean microcentrifuge tube in Elution Buffer EB, or nuclease-free water.
