DESCRIPTION: This product is a 10x10 cm sheet with aligned fibers made from pharmaceutical grade poly-L-lactide (PLLA) that offers a 3D structure allowing cells to grow in a more physiologically relevant manner, promoting cell-cell interactions, tissue-like organization, and cell polarization. It can be cut into desired shape/sizes depending on experimental needs. The scaffold is ideal for cultivation of complex systems like cell microenvironments, tissue regeneration, and organoids. The cell crowns act as Boyden chambers for facilitating studies related to air-liquid interface culture, co-culture, complex tissue models, etc. The optimized design ensures thermal, chemical, and mechanical stability, while also providing substantial swelling capabilities and porosity. The micro–Insert 4 Well is a biocompatible, silicone insert ideal for long term microscopy and stem cell cultivation. The micro–Insert has a special sticky bottom that prevents leaking on clean, flat, and dry surfaces, such as microscopy slides and dishes. Adherent or non–adherent cells placed into the small wells sink to the bottom and can be analyzed microscopically. The wells provide rectangular digital format (4:3) for covering the entire area by CCD cameras on microscopes. Tapered walls provide excellent optical access to cells located near the edges of the well. After cell attachment, the micro-Insert can be removed by using sterile tweezers without leaving a residue.
