Recognizes a protein of 32 kDa, identified as CD8a (also known as CD8 chain, T cell co-receptor, Leu2, and T8). CD8 molecule consists of two chains, termed and chain, which are expressed as a disulphide-linked heterodimer or as an homodimer. CD8 is expressed on T cell subset (cytotoxic/suppressor T cells), thymocytes and NK cells. The majority of CD8 T-cells expresses CD8 as heterodimer. Some subpopulation of CD8 T cells as well as NK cells may express homodimer. CD8 functions as a co-receptor in concert with TCR for binding the MHC class I/peptide complex. The HIV-2 envelope glycoprotein binds CD8 chain (but not chain). Biotium CD33(C33/68), CF488A conjugate, 0.1mg/mL
Recognizes a 67 kDa glycoprotein, which is identified as CD33. It is a transmembrane protein of the sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin (Siglec) family. It belongs to the immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM)-containing molecules able of recruiting protein tyrosine phosphatases SHP-1 and SHP-2 to signal assemblies; these ITIMs are also used for ubiquitin-mediated removal of the receptor from the cell surface. CD33 is expressed on cells of myelomonocytic lineage, binds sialic acid residues in N- and O-glycans on cell surfaces, and is a therapeutic target for acute myeloid leukemia. CD33 is expressed on myeloid progenitors, monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells and mast cells. Ten to forty percent of the patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) develop cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections. In some patients with AIDS, CMV is detected in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), urine, and other specimens, even when there are no symptoms of CMV disease. An indicator of active CMV infection is needed to facilitate the diagnosis of CMV disease in patients with AIDS or HIV infection. Biotium Tyramide Amplification Kit with HRP Streptavidin and CF640R Tyramide
Tyramide amplification, sometimes called Catalyzed Reporter Deposition (CARD), is an enzyme-mediated detection method that uses the catalytic activity of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) to generate high density labeling of a target protein or nucleic acid sequence in situ. The tyramide amplification method has been reported to increase the sensitivity by up to 100-fold compared to the conventional avidin-biotinylated complex procedure. The kit contains HRP streptavidin CF640R dye tyramide. The dye has an excitation/emission of 642/662 nm. The kit contains sufficient reagent for 50-150 slides.

This antibody recognizes both the free and protein-conjugated (either soluble or cell bound) form of biotin. This MAb is highly specific to biotin and shows no cross-reaction with other structurally related compounds. It has a very high affinity for biotin and is excellent for use in various amplification techniques. In some applications, localization of biotinylated probes with avidin produces unacceptably high background staining. This antibody is specific to Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF-1) and shows minimal cross-reaction with IGF-11, Proinsulin, MSF, and Insulin. IGF-1 is a polypeptide growth factor with two isoforms that are produced by alternative splicing. Isoform 1 is also known as IGF-IB while isoform 2 is known as IGF-IA. IGF-1 stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of cell types including muscle, bone and cartilage tissue. It functions as an autocrine regulator of growth. Recognizes a carbohydrate determinant of Gal 1-3(Fuc 1-4) GlcNAc which is blood group antigen Lewis A. It is present primarily on epithelial cells such as colon and kidneys. In the tumors and dedifferentiated tissues, decrease of Lewis A antigen was observed. Lewis A (type 1 chain) is expressed in colonic epithelial cells and may be useful for detection of gastrointestinal tumors, pancreatic cancer, and colorectal tumors. Blood group related antigens represent a group of carbohydrate determinants carried on both glycolipids and glycoproteins. They are usually mucin-type, and are detected on erythrocytes, certain epithelial cells, and in secretions of certain individuals.
