It is useful as a positive control for ELISA and western blot and and other applications including cell differentiation, cell signaling, clotting assays, fibrinolysis, plasminogen activation, protein-protein interactions, receptor binding, thromboelastography, and thrombolysis. Purified from auto-catalytic digestion of recombinant human urokinase produced in insect cells. Active two-chain low molecular weight human urokinase contains the proteinase domain and is separated from the amino terminal fragment by cleavage at the Lys135-Lys136 bond.
