The 293AAV Cell Line is derived from the parental 293 cells but selected for attributes that increase AAV production. It offers several advantages over the regular 293 cells: (1) Larger cell surface area resulting higher transfection and better yield of AAV; (2) Flattened morphology; and (3) Firm attachment to culture plates, ideal for large scale culture and AAV production.
