General Purpose Forceps and Tweezers

General-purpose, hand-held instruments with two opposing tips used to grasp, hold, position, transfer, manipulate, or retrieve small, delicate, or hard-to-handle objects requiring precise control. Commonly used in laboratory, cleanroom, industrial, electronics assembly, watchmaking, jewelry making, optics, filter handling, and other technical applications. Products may be manufactured from disposable plastics, autoclavable plastics, stainless steel, titanium, or other durable, corrosion-resistant, or chemical-resistant materials.

Available in a variety of sizes, styles, and configurations to support specific handling requirements, including pointed, blunt, rounded, curved, angled, or flat tips; plain or serrated gripping surfaces; scissor-style handles; self-closing designs; alignment guide pins; and protective foam, silicone, or PTFE-coated surfaces to enhance grip and minimize contamination or damage to sensitive components and materials.

Typical applications include manipulation of microscope coverslips, filter papers and discs, electronic components, precision mechanical parts, and other small or fragile items in controlled, industrial, research, and manufacturing environments. Excludes surgical, dissection, and other medical forceps intended for clinical procedures.
