TPC is an Acylation Reagent. TPC is the reagent of choice for the resolution of optically active amines by gas chromatography. TPC provides sample volatility and couples with amines to form diastereomers which can be separated on GC columns. Its use in the determination of amphetamines and other drugs of abuse testing has attracted considerable interest.
