Closed system tissue grinders are design to provide maximum safety. Tissues are ground inside of a sealed container thereby reducing risk of sample contact or exposure to aerosols. Narrow pestle eliminates the possibility of sample overflow. Pestle styles include a standard molded abrasive surface or vitrified tip for more aggressive tissue grinding. Tissue grinders are fully assembled with pestle and sample tube. Supplied in easy to open sterile packs.

The pestle's Stainless Steel rod is for use with an overhead stirrer but the accessory "T" handle can be easily attached to assist with manual grinding. Radial serrations in the lower portion of the pestle facilitate the delivery of homogenate into the cylindrical portion of the mortar.
