Glen Hansen
PhD, FCCM, D(ABMM)
Glen Hansen is the medical director of clinical microbiology and the molecular diagnostics laboratories at Hennepin County Medical Center. He is also an associate professor in the departments of laboratory medicine and pathology and medicine (infectious diseases) at the University of Minnesota. Hansen received his PhD in microbiology and immunology from the University of Saskatchewan and Royal University Hospital in Canada. He is widely published in the field of clinical microbiology comprising over 150 publications and invited lectures.
Jacqueline Getty
MLS (ASCP)
Jaqueline Getty is a medical technologist at Hennepin County Medical Center in the microbiology department. She received a degree in medical laboratory sciences from the University of Minnesota. In addition to her clinical work in microbiology, Getty is involved in Hennepin County’s rapid testing protocols for COVID-19 at the hospital level. Her interests in clinical microbiology extend to evaluation of new technologies and optimizing laboratory workflows and ordering processes.
