It is reported to be a metabolite of 1,2-bis(2-aminophenoxy)ethane-N,N,N'sa,N'sa-tetraacetic acid tetra(acetoxymethyl ester) (BAPTA-AM) in rat urine.Highly selective calcium chelating reagent. Suitable for the spectrophotometric monitoring of Ca2+ levels
