Ginkgo’s cell free protein synthesis (CFPS) Economy kit is formulated to maximize protein expression per dollar spent. The E. coli transcription/translation system produces proteins from a T7 RNA polymerase promoter. Reactions consist of a bacterial cell lysate and a reagent mix that contain all components required for protein production; the user must simply provide a DNA template that encodes the protein of interest under control of a T7 promoter. The system is easy-to-use, produces protein within a few hours, and is compatible with high-throughput liquid handling and automation platforms. Protein yield and function can be evaluated in solution or following purification. The 10 mL kit enables user to run 500 reactions of 20 µL, or user can scale reaction volumes to their own specifications. Storage at -80° C. For research use only.
