Sabouraud Dextrose Broth with Penicillin G (SDB-P) is a selective broth used in qualitative procedures for the cultivation of fungi. Emmons modified the formulation of Sabouraud by reducing the amount of dextrose from 40g/L to 20g/L and removing agar. This product is also referred to as Sabouraud Dextrose Broth 2%, due to the reduced dextrose content. Reference the appropriate standard method for additional details on test instructions. The broth is supplemented with 0.2µg/mL Penicillin G to inhibit gram-positive bacteria.• Product meets BAM, CLSI, ISO, NF, and Harmonized USP/EP/JP reference methods and performance criteria.• SDB-P should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • For in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.• Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.
