This product is a protease inhibitor cocktail (100X in DMSO EDTA plus) specifically designed for use during cell lysis and protein extraction processes It is a ready-to-use concentrated solution that can inhibit a variety of endogenous proteases Also included is a separate 0 5 M EDTA solution which effectively inhibits metalloproteases The inhibitor cocktail consists of six carefully optimized broad-spectrum protease inhibitors dissolved in DMSO capable of efficiently inhibiting serine proteases cysteine proteases aspartic proteases and aminopeptidases commonly present in cell lysates EDTA is provided for inhibition of metalloproteases If immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) is involved for protein purification or if two-dimensional (2D) gel electrophoresis analysis is planned EDTA must be thoroughly removed by extensive dialysis or desalting prior to purification Specification 1 Set equals 1X (1 mL A 1 mL B) 10 Sets equals 10X (1 mL A 1 mL B) and so on
