Tryptic Soy Broth with 15% Glycerol is a liquid medium utilized for long-term frozen maintenance of bacteria. This medium is considered a cryopreservative or freezing solution as is recommended in the Clinical Microbiology Procedures Handbook and the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) for the maintenance of stock cultures. When inoculated into this medium and frozen at or below -40°C, bacterial suspensions remain viable. The timeframe should be validated by the end user. • Product meets BAM and CLSI reference methods and performance criteria.• For in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.• TSB w/ 15% Glycerol should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.
