For use with the extruder to provide extra support and improved flow rate. It provides a flat surface to eliminate tearing or rupturing of the polycarbonate membrane. It is also used as a separator between membrane layers in serial stack filtration applications. The polyester filter support is binder free and has a thickness of 100 a�m. The filter support disc is chemically inert. Polycarbonate membranes and filter supports are intended to be used for a single liposome preparation and should not be reused.
