It activates the human mineralocorticoid receptor in COS-7 cells (ED50 of 10 nM) and exhibits agonist mineralocorticoid activity by activating the transiently expressed human mineralocorticoid receptor (hMR) in COS-7 cells. Its agonist activity is linked to contacts between its 11β-hydroxyl group and Asn770 within the hMR-ligand-binding domain.
