Buffered Charcoal Yeast Extract Agar with Dyes, Glycine, Vancomycin, and Polymyxin B (BCYE-DGVP) is a selective and differential medium for the isolation and presumptive identification of Legionella. Developed and refined in the early 1980s to improve recovery of Legionella from contaminated samples. The addition of selective agents enhanced the recovery of Legionella pneumophila, which grow as pale green to green colonies on this formulation.• Product meets CLSI, EPA, CDC, ISO, and SMWW reference methods and performance criteria.• BCYE-DGVP should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • For in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.• Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.
