Middlebrook 7H11 Agar | Middlebrook 7H11 Selective Agar biplates are used in qualitative procedures for the isolation and cultivation of Mycobacterium species. Middlebrook 7H11 Agar is a non-selective and non-differential culture media, which was developed in 1968 as a modification of Middlebrook 7H10 media. Middlebrook 7H11 Selective Agar is a selective and non-differential culture media, which was formulated in 1972 in order to recover mycobacteria from specimens containing mixed flora. Carbenicillin and polymyxin B inhibit most Enterobacteriaceae species, trimethoprim lactate inhibits Proteus species, and amphotericin B inhibits yeasts.• Product meets CLSI performance criteria.• Middlebrook biplates should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • For in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.• Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.
