CAMPY Blood Agar is an enriched, selective and differential medium used for the isolation, cultivation, and presumptive identification of Campylobacter species, including Campylobacter jejuni. The base is Blaser's formulation which utilizes Brucella Agar supplemented with 10% sheep agar and five antimicrobial agents including amphotericin B, polymyxin B, cephalothin, trimethoprim, and vancomycin. The antimicrobial agents act to suppress the normal flora present in fecal specimens. (This product is equivalent to Blaser, Campylobacter Agar with 5 Antimicrobics.)• Product meets CLSI and NF reference methods and performance criteria.• CAMPY Blood Agar should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • For in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.• Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.
