LB Agar (Miller's) with Ampicillin, X-Gal, and IPTG is a selective and differential chromogenic culture medium used for blue-white colony screening post-transformation. Blue-white screening is a rapid and efficient technique for the identification of recombinant bacteria. It relies on the activity of β-galactosidase, an enzyme occurring in Escherichia coli, which cleaves lactose into glucose and galactose.• Product meets CLSI performance criteria.• LB Agar with Ampicillin, X-Gal, and IPTG should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.• Contains 100µg/mL Ampicillin.
