Luria Broth with Agar, Carbenicillin, and Cycloheximide is a selective and non-differential medium recommended for the cultivation of recombinant strains of Escherichia coli. It was developed in the early 1950's to support bacterial and phage studies. It has since become a cornerstone of molecular biology, especially for growing E. coli in DNA cloning, plasmid preparation, and protein expression applications. Luria Broth (low salt) contains 0.5g/mL of sodium chloride, compared to 5.0g/L in LB Agar, Lennox and 10.0g/L in LB Agar, Miller.• Luria Broth with Agar should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.
