Sabouraud Dextrose Agar with Chloramphenicol-100 a selective and non-differential medium used for the isolation and cultivation of yeasts and molds from clinical and non-clinical specimens. The acidic pH and high dextrose content favor fungal growth, while chloramphenicol suppresses bacterial contaminants. Commonly used for cultivating dermatophytes, Candida, and other pathogenic and saprophytic fungi. Chloramphenicol is added to suppress bacterial contaminants that could otherwise overgrow and obscure fungal colonies.• Product (base) meets BAM, CLSI, Harmonized USP/EP/JP, ISO, NF, and SMWW reference methods and performance criteria.• SabDex Agar w/CHL-100 should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • For in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.• Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.
