Sabouraud Dextrose Agar, Emmons, also known as Sabouraud Dextrose Agar, Modified, is a non-selective and non-differential general purpose medium used for the cultivation of pathogenic and non-pathogenic fungi, including dermatophytes. The original formulation was modified by Emmons to bring the pH closer to neutral (pH range is 6.8-7.2) and the dextrose content was decrease from 40g/L to 20g/L. • Product meets CLSI and SMWW reference methods and performance criteria.• SabDex, Emmons should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • For in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use.• Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.
