(Wallerstein Laboratory) WL Differential (WLD) Agar is a selective and differential medium used for the isolation of bacteria encountered in brewing and industrial fermentation processes. WLD contains cycloheximide to inhibit fungi. WLD plates are incubated aerobically for the growth of acetic acid bacteria, Flavobacterium, Proteus, and thermophilic bacteria. Plates are incubated anaerobically for the growth of lactic acid bacteria and Pediococcus. • Product meets ASBC and ASM reference methods and performance criteria.• WLD Agar should be used by trained professionals within a laboratory setting. • Product is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other human conditions.
