PAN-Biotech 1x Erythrocyte Lysis Buffer (1x RBC Lysis Buffer), 6 x 100 ml. DESCRIPTION: In normal whole-blood, erythrocyte concentration is 1000x higher than leukocyte concentration, making erythrocytes an impediment to investigation or analysis of leucocytes. Erythrolyse, or red blood cell lysing buffer is intended for the lysis of red blood cells in samples with white blood cells as for example EDTA-/citrate/heparin-treated whole-blood, Buffy Coats (PBMCs, leucocyte films), and bone marrow. This buffer contains ammonium chloride, which lyses red cells, with minimal effect on lymphocytes when used as instructed. Nucleated red cells are not effectively lysed with ammonium chloride. COMPOSITION: Contains ammonium chloride, potassium hydrogencarbonate, and EDTA. Erythrocyte Lysis Buffer (1x) is sterile filtered (0.2 μm) and contains no fixative and no preservatives.
