2,4,6-Trihydroxybenzaldehyde is an orally active NF-κB inhibitor that demonstrates anti-tumor, anti-cancer cell proliferative, and anti-obesity activities. It inhibits adipocyte differentiation and lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 cells and down-regulates PPARγ, C/EBPα, SREBP-1c, and FAS protein expression levels.
