2-Ethoxybenzamide (Ethenzamide) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent with analgesic and antipyretic effects. It induces melanin synthesis through cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB) phosphorylation and can be used in research for hypopigmentation and inflammation-related diseases. In B16F1 murine melanoma cells, it increases ROS levels, enhances the expression of melanogenesis-related genes, and promotes melanin synthesis via the phosphorylation of ERK/CREB.
