2-iodomelatonin is a melatonin analog and potent agonist of the melatonin receptors MT1 and MT2 (pKi 10.55 and 9.87, respectively). It Inhibits receptor-mediated cAMP accumulation and has been used to characterize melatonin binding sites in the brain and peripheral tissues. Provided as 10 mg of dry powder.
