2-iodomelatonin is a melatonin analog and potent agonist of the melatonin receptors MT1 and MT2 (pKi 10.55 and 9.87, respectively). It Inhibits receptor-mediated cAMP accumulation and has been used to characterize melatonin binding sites in the brain and peripheral tissues. Provided as 10 mg of dry powder. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
