2-(Methylthio)adenosine 5′-diphosphate (2-methylthio-ADP) induces platelet aggregation and inhibits cAMP accumulation in platelets in-vitro. It's 3-5 times more active than ADP as an aggregating agent, and 150-200 times more active as a cAMP accumulation inhibitor. Potent agonist of the P2Y1, P2Y12, and P2Y13 purinoceptors (pEC50=8.29 and 9.05 nM for P2Y1 and P2Y12, and EC50=19 nM for P2Y13). These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
