Cell Biolabs Inc 293LTV Cell Line for Lentiviral Packaging
Supplier: Cell Biolabs Inc LTV100
The 293LTV Cell Line is a permanent line established from primary embryonic human kidney cell transformed with human adenovirus type 5 DNA. The genes encoded by the E1 region of adenovirus (E1a and E1b) are expressed in these cells and participate in transactivation of viral promoters, allowing these cells to produce high levels of protein. The 293LTV Cell Line also expresses the SV40 large T antigen and a neomycin resistance gene, as does the parental 293T cell from which it is derived. However, 293LTV offers several advantages over the standard 293T cells: (1) Larger cell surface area resulting higher transfection and better yield of lentivirus; (2) Fast growth; and (3) Firm attachment to culture plates, which make it ideal for large scale culture and lentiviral production.
