PTZ-343 is a potent enhancer of Luminol. It significantly increases the light output of the peroxidase-catalyzed luminol chemiluminescent oxidation reaction (>80%). PTZ-343 acts as an electron transfer mediator, reacting with HRP-II to release HRP and an enhancer (PTZ-343) radical, which then rapidly oxidizes luminol anions to induce light emission.
