3-D Life is the most flexible system for biomimetic hydrogel design for 3D cell cultures. It uses two polymers that form a hydrogel by covalent crosslinking at ambient temperature. The chemical reaction is non-toxic to cells and occurs rapidly, preventing cell settlement before gel is formed. RGD sequences are motifs on extracellular matrix proteins promoting adhesion to cellular integrin receptors. The 3-D Life RGD Peptide contains a RGD motif and a thiol group on the N-terminus. The thiol group is used to immobilize the peptide on thiol-reactive polymers in 3-D Life Hydrogels. The immobilized peptide promotes adhesion of cells carrying the appropriate integrin receptor. Application: Modification of 3-D Life Hydrogels with cell-adhesive properties. Sequence: Acetyl-Cys-Doa-Doa-Gly-Arg-Gly-Asp-Ser-Pro-NH2. Molar Mass: 1022 g/mol. Purity greater than 90% (HPLC).
