3-D Life is the most flexible system for biomimetic hydrogel design for 3D cell cultures. It uses two polymers that form a hydrogel by covalent crosslinking at ambient temperature. The chemical reaction is non-toxic to cells and occurs rapidly, preventing cell settlement before gel is formed. The 3-D Life SG-Dextran component contains dextran functionalized with thiol-reactive groups that can be used with PEG-Link or CD-Link to set up slow gelling, cell-compatible hydrogels. Dextran-based 3-D Life hydrogels can be dissolved by the addition of dextranase (3-D Life Dextranase, Cat. No. D10-1), which allows easy cell recovery. The included 10x CB (pH 7.2) Buffer is a buffer to control pH and osmotic conditions during gel formation in the presence of cells. Quantity: Allows formation of up to 6 ml 3-D Life Hydrogel depending on the stiffness of the gel, if used together with thiol-functionalized polymers (3-D Life PEG-Link or CD-Link).
