3000mL 3-Neck Round Bottomed Flask, Half Jacket, 1-CN 29/42 Outer, 2-SN 24/40 Outer, 6mm Drain Valve. Lower half of flask has a jacket permitting heating or cooling of the contents with fluid from a constant temperature bath. The Chem-Drain valve incorporates a PTFE plunger that allows contents of the flask to drain directly through the bore of the plunger. When closed, the tip of the PTFE plug seals into the lower radius of the flask. This permits total mixing and drainage of the flask's contents. Chem-Drain is 6mm. This dimension refers to the straight section of the plunger. When open, the contents of the flask drain through three openings into the plunger's main bore. Lower portion of plunger has a 1/2in section for attachment of flexible tubing. Allows drainage of solids to 1.5mm. Supplied standard in a three-neck configuration. Valve size is as listed but flasks with a capacity of 2 Liters or more can be fitted with the 12mm valve. See CG-510 for replacement Chem-drain plugs.
