Double-strength Tryptic Soy Broth (TSB) is a general nutrient and enrichment broth. It is used in qualitative procedures for the cultivation of fastidious and non-fastidious microorganisms and is also recommended for sterility testing. TSB is recommended for use as the inoculum broth for disc diffusion and agar dilution antimicrobial susceptibility testing by the CLSI.
