ACROBiosystems ACRO BIOSYSTEMS Glycoprotein B, Biotinylated, HSV-2 (strain 333), His,Avitag
Supplier: ACROBiosystems GLBV82E3100UG
Envelope glycoprotein that forms spikes at the surface of the virion envelope. It is essential for the initial attachment to heparan sulfate moieties of host cell surface proteoglycans. Involved in the fusion of viral and cellular membranes, leading to virus entry into the host cell. Membrane fusion is mediated by the fusion machinery, including gB and the heterodimer gH/gL, following initial binding to host receptors.
- Expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293).
- Features a polyhistidine tag and an Avi tag (Avitag™) at the C-terminus.
- Biotinylated using Avitag™ technology.
- Designed as a trimer with a calculated molecular weight of 76.0 kDa.
- Purity greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE and SEC-MALS.
- Bioactivity confirmed by ELISA, binding mouse anti-herpes virus 1 and 2.
- Store at -70°C or lower; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
