COMU, 1-[1-(Cyano-2-ethoxy-2-oxoethylideneaminooxy)-dimethylamino-morpholino]-uronium hexafluorophosphate, 1075198-30-9, C12H19F6N4O4P, Mr 428.27, 25g. A safe and highly efficient coupling reagent requiring only one equivalent of base during bond formation as it liberates morpholine. This helps to minimize concomitant racemization. Non-allergenic. Couplings with COMU can be monitored visually or colorimetrically, the reagent shows excellent solubility in DMF and NMP. COMU is especially suited for microwave-accelerated SPPS.
