Aβ/tau aggregation-IN-1 is a potent inhibitor of Aβ1-42 β-sheets formation and tau aggregation. With KD values of 160 μM for Aβ1-42 and 337 μM for tau, it effectively permeates the blood-brain barrier. Studies have shown its significant ability to reduce tau aggregation foci in HEK-293 T cells at a concentration of 1 μM for 24 hours. The compound achieves 84.7%-99.5% inhibition of Aβ1-42 aggregation and 71.2%-101.8% inhibition of tau aggregation by preventing β-sheet formation and through noncovalent interactions with both Aβ1-42 and tau.
