AAA-10 is an orally active inhibitor of gut bacterial bile salt hydrolases (BSH). It targets *B. theta* rBSH with an IC₅₀ of 10 nM and *B. longum* rBSH with an IC₅₀ of 80 nM. This product is for research use only and is not sold to patients.
- Inhibits BSH activity in bacterial cultures (IC₅₀s of 74 nM for Gram-negative and 901 nM for Gram-positive bacteria)
- Significantly inhibits deconjugation of glycochenodeoxycholic acid-d4 or taurocholic acid-d4 substrates in human feces
- Reduces levels of deoxycholic acid (DCA) and lithocholic acid (LCA) in mouse feces
- Exhibits high colonic exposure and low gut permeability
