Abaucin hydrochloride is a potent CCR2 antagonist (IC50: 360 nM) with no effect on CCR1, primarily used in neurological disease and endocrinology research. It targets human α1a, α1d receptors, and rat brain cortex 5HT1a receptor, and suppresses wild type and D284N mutant MCP-1 receptor activity. In vivo studies show it decreases pain thresholds in rats with bone cancer pain.
