Product DescriptionACES (N-(2-acetamindo)-2-aminoethancesulfonic acid) buffer has a concentration of 0.5M and a pH level of 6.5. Buffer was prepared in 18.2 megohms water and filtered through 0.22 micron filter. ACES has been used to develop buffers for both agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. A saturated solution contains 0.22M at 0°C and a melting point greater than 220°C. ACES binds Cu2+, but not significantly Mg2+, Ca2+, or Mn2+. Product is stored at room temperature.
