This whole-genome sequenced strain of Acinetobacter baumannii was isolated in 2006 from the sputum of a military personnel returning from Afghanistan entering a Canadian hospital. The bacterial culture is resistant to Ceftazidime, Gentamicin, Ticarcillin, Piperacillin, Aztreonam, Cefepime, Ciprofloxacin, Imipenem, and Meropenem. The strain is sensitive to Amikacin and Tobramycin.
