QuickZyme Human Granzyme B Activity Assay Reagent Set for 2 x 96 assays. 96-well plate format; contains antibody, standard, detection enzyme, substrate. Quantitative measurement of ACTIVE human Granzyme B. Sample type: conditioned cell culture media, cell extracts, body fluids, tissue extracts, purified enzyme preparations. Also recognizes mouse Granzyme B. Can detect both high and low ranges. Dynamic range 0.05-10 ng/ml. Sensitivity 0.01 ng/ml (24 hr incub.). Sample vol. 10-100 ul. Granzymes are exogenous serine proteinases released from cytoplasmic granules of CTLs and NK cells. Granzyme B can act extracellularly (independent of perforin) and influences ECM degradation/remodeling by cleavage of ECM proteins, including laminin, decorin, fibronectin and vitronectin. Thus, Granzyme B may play an important role in wound healing and inflammatory diseases involving ECM degradation.
