AIN-76A diet with 40% corn starch and 25% sucrose. AIN-76 diet was made to stabilize the mice diet and increase animal growth, appearance and survival. The addition of sucrose causes a cascading effect in mice that lead to poorer health. Antioxidants are added to the corn oil to increase health of subjects.
