Description

These durable acrylic shields are ideal for use with blood, liquids, culture specimens, or other hazardous materials. The angled top protects the face against splash and flying particles, while the patented curved-side design allows more natural arm movement, so workers can more easily reach the work surface.Shields are available in two thicknesses: 3/8 and 1/4 in. (0.95 and 0.6cm). The 3/8 in. thick (0.95cm) shield offers protection against radiation exposure when used with low-level beta-emitting isotopes such as 32P. The 1/4 in. thick (0.6cm) shield should be used for splash protection only. Both shields offer a choice of two work surface sizes: 12L × 12 in.W (31 × 31cm) or 12L × 16 in.W (31 × 41cm). All shields are 20 in. high (51cm).
