Alumina Neutral (pH 6-8) with UV254, analytical, polyester backed TLC plates. The coating thickness is 200um and dimensions are 2.5x7.5cm. There are 200 plates per pack. Applications include: terpenes, alkaloids, steroids, aliphatic and aromatic compounds. To ensure sufficient adherence an inert organic binder is added to the aqueous suspension for coating. The aluminum oxide layer has a specific surface of about 200 m2/g (BET) and a pore size of about 60A. To activate the aluminum oxide layer, we recommend heating the TLC plates for 10 minutes at 120C.
