This Alcian Blue Stain Kit (pH 2.5) is used for the histological visualization of sulfated and carboxylated acid mucopolysaccharides and sulfated and carboxylated sialomucins (glycoproteins). Alcian Blue Stains acidic sulfated mucosubstances, hyaluronic acid and sialomucins blue, and stains nuclei red. Kit contains 30 ml Alcian Blue Solution (pH 2.5), 30 ml Nuclear Fast Red (Enhanced), and 2 x 30 ml Acetic Acid Solution (3%).
